Copper Cathode

Copper cathode is a form of copper that is 99.95% pure. It undergoes two processes, smelting and electrorefining, to remove impurities from copper ore. The resulting, nearly pure copper is an excellent conductor and is often used in electrical cables.

Copper cathodes are used in the manufacture of continuously cast copper rods, which are used more for the wire, cable and transformer industries. It is also used in the manufacture of copper pipes for durable consumer goods and other applications in the form of alloys and sheets.

Originating in Central Africa, our copper cathodes are sold to every port in the world at prices well below the LMB EXCHANGE, with a monthly volume of 5000 tons, C.I.F. 60 days LC sales.
